ACTIVITIES
Charities and Fund Raisers
The purpose of any HOG® Chapter is to promote motorcycling activities for the Harley Owners Group members. We encourage a family oriented organization that portrays a positive image of motorcycling.
To help promote that positive image of motorcycles and bikers, the Daytona Beach Chapter of HOG supports a main "cause" annually by hosting runs (rides) to show support for this cause.
The cause we support is the Camp Boggy Creek Ride for Children, presented by Bruce Rossmeyer’s Daytona Harley-Davidson and JM Family Enterprises, Inc. Held annually in October, this ride is a 1,000 bike, traffic stopping, police escorted ride from Destination Daytona to Camp Boggy Creek led by such Grand Marshals as Paul Newman, General Norman Schwarzkopf, Kyle Petty, Lorenzo Lamas, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Orange County Choppers - Paul Sr. and Paul, Jr., Arlen Ness, Roland Sands, Jesse Rooke, the late Johnny Chop, James Gandolfini, Aida Turturro of the Sopranos, Billy Lane from Choppers Inc., Vinnie DiMartino and Cody Connelly from V-Force, Eddie Trotta from Thunder Cycle, Dave Perewitz from Perewitz Cycle Fabrication, Shannon Burke and the Monsters of the Morning from Real Radio 104.1 and Frank Scott of WHOG 95.7 Radio.
The Ride continues to grow every year and not only raises dollars but much needed awareness of the Camp. Last year’s Ride netted almost $500,000 for the kids of Camp Boggy Creek.
Chapter Activities
Chapter activities are conducted primarily for the benefit of HOG® chapter members and fall into several categories:
Closed events are those chapter events which are open to chapter members and one guest per member. Any events that are closed due to insurance issues will be posted in password protected areas.
Member events are events that are open only to HOG members.
Open events are those chapter events which are open to chapter members and other guests as desired. Guests who plan on riding at any activities will need to sign a release form. Those forms are available online, by selecting the link "Release Forms". Please be sure to look those over for minors who will be attending rides.
If you are interested in becoming a Daytona Beach Chapter HOG member, please contact Membership.
Keynote Rides:
Are the rides that each chapter holds to support their main "cause" annually (Daytona supports the toy run for the ride for children, Boggy Creek) Are when there is a "CHAPTER CHALLENGE" held at each keynote run - the chapter with the most riders wins a plaque; please do not sign in for your chapter if you are not participating in their ride All chapters are there to support a worthy cause, regardless of the hosting chapter Are important so the calendar will note another chapter's ride as a keynote - we want to ALL get there in support of that very important cause......they support ours Are part of the inter-chapter support offered is that each chapter supports the other chapters' keynote rides to support that cause
To verify a ride is taking place, call the Director or the road captain listed for the ride. Road captain information is listed in the Members Only section.

SuperHOG
Daytona HOG has a special awards program called SuperHOG. Every time you go on a ride and even when attending some activities, you are awarded SuperHOG points. 12 rides earns you a pin and a $25 gift card from Daytona Harley-Davidson! Every 12 rides after that earns a rocker for the pin, and an entry into the SuperHOG drawing at the Christmas party.
Pig-In-A-Poke
Here is something novel... At every general chapter meeting, contribute one dollar ($1.00) to the Oig-In-A-Poke Jackpot. At the end of the meeting, a poker chip is drawn at random with a number. The number will correspond to a name on the membership list. If that person is in attendance and contributed $1 to the jackpot at that meeting, he or she wins the whole jackpot! The first winner of the Pig-In-A-Poke jackpot happened at the April 2010 meeting and someone walked out with over $450.00. Now THAT'S NOT TO SHABBY!
